One Horse Town Tour
Smalls Towns with Big Music
The One Horse Town Tour celebrates communities of rural America by offering quality live music to small towns with no overhead cost. The tour is rooted in the idea that every town and community can host excellent live music, no matter their population or access to a large stage. Live music needs only an audience.

History of the One Horse Town Tour
The first One Horse Town Tour was held in 2011. It included 15 stops across Iowa. It was an immense success and won a mixie award for the "Most Creative Tour." People gathered in gazebos, community halls, libraries, theaters or event simply on a blocked-off street to hear live music. It was an excellent showing of communities coming together. In the original tour, all towns were less than 3,000 in population. However, Elliott plans to broaden the list of towns participating in the relaunch by opening it up to any small town and not limiting it by a specific number of residents.
