The Kerrville Folk Festival foundation announced finalists, including Chad Elliott for the 2020 Grassy Hill New Folk Songwriting Competition to be held in Texas in October. This isn't Elliott's first trip to the Kerrville Folk Festival as he was a New Folk finalist in 2008 and 2018.
"Kerrville is one of my favorite places to go if I need to reconnect with my purpose as a songwriter. The first time I attended I was overwhelmed with the community of musicians I met there. Nothing can replace being in the Texas hill country sharing songs around the campfires with some of the best writers of our times."
